Melrose Publishing is an
independent publisher specialising in Russian language teaching materials.
We are able to draw on many years of experience of teaching Russian at all
levels from beginners to businessmen and diplomats and are aware of the
specific difficulties speakers of English encounter in learning the language.
Extensive experience of work in schools means we are very well acquainted
with the demands of UK examinations boards and the classroom needs of
teachers. We believe that language learning should be fun and look to turn
our knowledge and enthusiasm for Russian to make it that way.
Natalia Veshneva
is the founder and principle author of Melrose Publishing. Born in Moscow,
she graduated in linguistics from Moscow State University and has lived in
Britain for over twenty years, teaching Russian to speakers of English of
all levels and all age groups, including Goldsmiths College (University of
London), City of London School for Girls and James Allen's Girls School. In
addition to her work for Melrose Publishing, she has produced numerous
teaching aids and co-authored the the Russian course-books Ruslan 1 and 2.

Vera Kalchenko
is Melrose Publishing's illustrator. A graduate
of the Moscow Polytechnic of Cinematography and Animation and the Nesterova
Art Academy, she has illustrated books for publishers in Russia and the UK.
Ms Kalchenko's work has been exhibited widely, including the Youth
Exhibition, Kuznetsky Most, Moscow in 2003 and the 25th Jubilee Exhibition
of Young Russian Artists, Krimsky Most, Moscow in 2001.
